Plot[]

Captured and imprisoned by Jenaphila, Aster is discovered by Sam during the vault raid. She is an emaciated shadow of her normal self due to extreme starvation (she consumes electricity). Jenaphila uses her as a power source. She is able to strike a mutually beneficial agreement with Sam (400 year bond) for her freedom. Aster destroys the vault with a massive lightning discharge, thereby removing all evidence of the raid. |

Aster recovers her health and powers after her rescue by Sam and begins to act much like an over-sexed, hyper teenager. As Sam discovers during his first feeding from her, underneath her bubbly exterior she is terrified of being cast aside and rejected, and just in general is a mess of inscurities. Sam recognizes an echo if his own imprisonment and reassures her by offering an indefinite bond. Eventually Sam and Aster (and Jes) exchange brands, effectively marrying themselves together and co-owning their planes. During the Log retrieval mission, Aster reveals that she was a member of the Originator's Host, and uses her powers as such to install Alisa as the temporary Judge in Limbo. She also goes full "Olympian mode" during the standoff at Retribution's Redoubt and facing down her former pantheon. She is part of the extraction force during the action at the Essence Production facility and is trapped when the gates close, along with Sam, Abigail, and Irene. |
